    The Idaho Press and the Nampa Chamber of Commerce invite the public to attend the city council candidate forum this month in Nampa. The forum will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 23 at Nampa City Hall, 411 Third St. S. There are two contested city council races, with a total of five candidates: Sandi Levi, Jeff Cornilles, Michael Gable, Scott Glover, and Jacob Bower. Voters are invited to attend and hear from candidates on their top issues. No RSVP is necessary. The election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.     The Nampa Recreation Center is proud to offer a fun and energetic homeschool swimming P.E. program. Children of all swimming abilities will be able to participate in activities with other children of similar skills and ages in the swimming pool. On the first day children will be split up based on swimming ability and age. During the two-hour period each level group will receive a 30-minute group lesson from one of our nationally certified instructors, the rest is open recreational swimming time for the kids to interact, have fun and be active!   7. Halloween Dodgeball Tournament

    Enjoy a rush of competition. Teams will be encouraged to dress in fun/silly themes for the tournament to heighten the comradery and fun. Teams will compete to see who the last team will be standing as well as the best dressed team. Teams can have up to 10 players on their roster. All games will be played by 6 players/team with at least 2 girls/team to start each round. Each match will consist 3 rounds lasting for 5 min. apiece. Each team will receive 3 pool-play matches as well as entrance into a single elimination tournament.
