Public hearing August 3 for proposed rate increases

City of Nampa Public Hearing Notice

The City of Nampa invites the community to provide public testimony on the proposed increases to various utility related fees at a public hearing Mon., August 3, 2020 beginning at 7 p.m.


If approved by council, residential customers should expect the below rate increases beginning October 1, 2020:

  • Domestic water rates are estimated to increase by 1.76%, or approximately 26 cents per month.
  • Sewer rates are estimated to increase by 16.75%, or approximately $5.27 per month. (Note this increase was part of the sewer revenue bond approved by Nampa residents in May 2018).

If approved by council, development customers should expect domestic water and wastewater hookup fees to increase beginning October 1, 2020. Options for submitting public testimony include in-person testimony at Nampa City Hall August 3 (note seating is limited at Nampa City Hall due to physical distancing), virtual testimony (must sign up by noon on August 3 through Clerk’s office); email testimony to clerks@cityofnampa.us or mail to Nampa City Hall (411 3rd St S, Nampa ID 83651). In order to be added to council packet, public comments must be received by Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. July 29.
