Community effort to distribute 2,000 free books to kids June 22-26


This week, June 22-26, the City of Nampa is pleased to partner with a variety of local organizations to help distribute over 2,000 free books to kids at 18 different park locations, which are also the location of free meals thanks to the Oasis Summer Feeding Program.

MONDAY / JUNE 22: Kings Road Park; West Roosevelt Park

TUESDAY / JUNE 23: Colter Bay; Desert Spring Elementary; Indian Creek Park; Maple Wood Park; West Park

WEDNESDAY / JUNE 24: Evergreen Mobile Park; Liberty Park; Lions Park; Osborne Park

THURSDAY/ JUNE 25: East Side Park; Lakeview Park (Baseball Fields); Optimist Park; Skyview Park

FRIDAY / JUNE 26: Sunset Oaks Park; Mary Ellen Meadows Park; Wilson Creek Park

A special thank you to Book It Forward, Nampa Housing Authority, Nampa Public Library, Idaho Public Television and the Nampa School District for their book donations. Thank you also to volunteers from Nampa Housing Authority, Nampa School District, 2C Kids Succeed, St. Luke’s, Saltzer Health, Idaho Central Credit Union, Good News Kids and the Nampa Chamber of Commerce for helping to distribute the books.
