The City of Nampa’s Environmental Compliance Division invites the community to participate in the 9th Annual Stormwater Cleanup Day September 28, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Community members will meet near the Iowa Avenue entrance at the Wilson Creek Pathway (see map below for parking and meeting location) and hear a brief lesson on ways to keep our waterways clean before heading out to clean the storm drains that lead to our local waterways. The morning will include picking up litter in neighborhoods surrounding a local waterway and marking storm drains with decals to promote keeping our drains free of debris. The day will end with an edible aquifer activity for all children present.
The City of Nampa encourages volunteers and teams of all ages. All materials needed for the cleanup will be provided by the City of Nampa’s Environmental Compliance Division.
