The Nampa Public Library was awarded a $91,943 grant from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) for a project called, “Be Well Nampa.” The primary objective of the Be Well Nampa project for the NNLM All of Us Community Engagement Award is to improve the quality of life in our community and enhance access to existing health services by serving as a centralized, neutral location.
The official kick off for this project is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 at 10 a.m. on the 3rd floor of the Nampa Public Library. A ribbon cutting will officially open the Be Well Nampa Health Hub, which has computers dedicated to health information. In addition to the Health Hub, the following services will also be available:
Health appointments, dental visits, counseling services and programs are provided to patrons free of charge.
The Nampa Public Library partners for the Be Well Nampa project include Terry Reilly Health Services, St. Luke’s, Saint Alphonsus, American Heart Association, Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, Southwest District Health and University of Idaho Extension-Canyon County.
