Attendees are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch and hear a brief presentation from staff on the proposed update to Nampa’s Comprehensive Master Plan which is used to guide growth and development in Nampa. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask staff questions and provide input.
Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling said, “I am committed to listening to our citizens and providing opportunities for Nampa residents to give input on decisions impacting Nampa’s future. As part of that commitment, we invite the community to learn the progress made thus far and to provide authentic feedback on the direction we’re headed.”
The City of Nampa has been hosting a variety of opportunities for the community to provide feedback, including a town hall on June 6, which was livestreamed and on the City’s Facebook page. The community is invited to watch the presentation at livestream.com/cityofnampa or visit http://www.cityofnampa.us/compplan for more information. Citizens unable to attend the open house may also email their feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nampa’s Comprehensive Master Plan is meant to represent the community's vision about where different types of development should occur and how quality of life can be enhanced for all residents. The plan covers a range of topics including economic development, housing, land use, transportation, parks and public services. The final updated plan will be presented to the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee by late October before being presented to the Nampa Planning and Zoning Commission and Nampa City Council for public hearing. Nampa City Council is anticipated to vote on possible adoption by the end of this year.
