Usually held the first Tuesday of each month, Art Endeavor encourages families of all ages to create art together, while uncovering new skills and interests. The most well-attended Art Endeavor program has become a tradition each September as folks construct fairy houses. Other sessions have featured art styles such as collages, pointillism, abstract art, watercolor, oil pastel, chalk pastel, origami, bookmaking and cyanotype prints.
“Since the Art Endeavor program started five years ago, it has remained one of our most popular and beloved programs. Tracie Wood’s ingenuity and enthusiasm have been paramount to this program’s success. We are proud to offer this and many other terrific programs to our community,” said Nampa Public Library Director Claire Connley.
Tracie Wood, a Youth Services Associate at Nampa Public Library, created the Art Endeavor program. Wood shared, “I’m a huge advocate for including art in education and strive to cultivate opportunities for people to create and enjoy visual and performing arts. Art Endeavor is one of the main reasons I love my job! Several families attend on a regular basis and it’s so much fun to rub shoulders with such great artists. I also enjoy bringing live theater and other performing arts to the library. Please join us in March as we celebrate five fantastic years of Art Endeavor!”
