Airport Master Plan Community Meeting

Tuesday, October 16, 2018

The City of Nampa invites community members to give early input on a long-range planning effort for the Nampa Municipal Airport. The first of several input opportunities will be held on Tues., Oct. 16 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Warhawk Air Museum (201 Municipal Drive, Nampa, ID 83687).

The Nampa Municipal Airport is one of the busiest general aviation facilities in southwest Idaho. When complete, the Nampa Airport Master Plan will give community leaders and funding agencies the information they need to justify and plan for needed development.

“Feedback from the community and airport users is critical for providing a high level of aviation service and supporting economic development in the community. Conclusions from this plan will affect the airport, its users, community members and the surrounding area,” said Monte Hasl, Airport Director for the City of Nampa.

The city’s airport master plan was last updated in 2010 and is available online at T-O Engineers will lead the current planning effort for the city.

The October 16 meeting will focus on the purpose of the study and the airport’s value to the Nampa community. Future steps in the planning process include an inventory of existing conditions, forecasts of aeronautical demand, facility requirements, alternative development and evaluation, airport layout plans, a facilities implementation plan, a review of environmental considerations and a financial feasibility analysis.

Community members can request updates on the process by emailing or by calling (208) 468-5823.
