The Nampa City Council will hold a budget workshop on the proposed FY 2021 budget on Mon., July 13, 2020 which will be available for the public to view via livestream.com/cityofnampa. The workshop is an opportunity for council members to have a high level overview, directly ask staff questions related to the budget, and have an open discussion related to the proposed budget. The public will be able to download and view the FY 2021 budget at cityofnampa.us/finance on July 6, 2020. Residents are encouraged to reach out to City of Nampa and Nampa City Council with questions or feedback.
The City of Nampa plans to live stream a virtual event Wed., July 15, 2020 at noon over viewing the City’s proposed budget and provide general information and education on local property taxes and allocations. The City of Nampa will work to provide multiple opportunities and methods for citizens to connect with staff, council and the mayor to discuss the budget.
Following the budget workshop, an updated budget proposal will be available for the public to review at cityofnampa.us/finance on August 3rd, two weeks prior to the public hearing.
YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS
Residents are encouraged to share comments on the proposed FY 2021 budget at a public hearing August 17, 2020. Options for submitting public testimony include in-person testimony (limited capacity inside city hall due to physical distancing restrictions); virtual testimony (must sign up by noon on August 17 through Clerk’s office); email testimony to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to Nampa City Hall (411 3rd St S, Nampa ID 83651). In order to be added to council packet, communication must be received by Clerk’s Office by noon on August 12. Additional options may be available by calling the Clerk’s Office at (208) 468-5426.
Nampa City Council is anticipated to vote on the proposed budget following public testimony August 17, 2020.
The City of Nampa’s FY 2021 budget will take effect October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021.

For the 36th consecutive year, the City of Nampa has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2016, by the Government Finance Officers Association.
