Density and Residential Code Changes

PLANNING & ZONING SEEKS COMMUNITY FEEDBACK ON FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS

The Planning & Zoning Department has been actively working to update and enhance the zoning code related to residential development in response to the 2040 Comprehensive Plan – Adopted March 2, 2020. Community input related to the types of housing and amenities desired in Nampa is extremely valuable and will help inform future recommendations and decisions. The community is invited to review current standards and guidelines before taking our Residential Development Survey

The City is working with the development community to produce these recommendations and code changes for presentation to an Advisory Group, Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council for adoption.

Schedule of Next Steps:
Advisory Group Meeting #1 to be held on March 18, 2021: 5:00 - 7:00 pm
A survey will be launched and will remain active for several weeks before closing on April 21, 2021.                Nampa City Council/Planning & Zoning Commission Workshop scheduled for April 22, 2021 from 5:30 - 9:30 pm       The proposed code changes will be taken to City Council for approval in early May of 2021.
