NEW-Small Business Grant Available- Nampa Small Business Grant Program-

The City of Nampa is utilizing a portion of its CARES Act allocation to provide grants to small businesses that meet certain qualifying criteria. This grant is made possible through the work of Governor Brad Little, State Controller Brandon Woolf, the Association of Idaho Cities and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The Governor’s Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee (CFAC) created this grant to help local businesses affected by COVID-19 pandemic, enabling cities to provide aid within their community.
Nampa has up to $500,000 in total funds to give to small businesses with average awards to individual applicants ranging from $10,000 to $15,000. Businesses can apply for reimbursement to cover expenses for necessary expenditures related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and costs incurred during the period between June 20, 2020 to December 30, 2020. Through this program, the City of Nampa hopes to support our small businesses that have been greatly impacted by the pandemic.
The City will begin accepting application for this Grant on September 9, 2020. This program is available on a first come, first serve basis. Beginning September 9, Applications will be accepted at https://portal.neighborlysoftware.com/NampaID/Participant

The Community Advantage Recovery Loan (CARL) Program from the Small Business Administration is a new federal recovery program that provides loans and free consulting, aimed at helping businesses during the economic downturn. Benefits of the program include fast availability of funds for approved borrowers (10 days or less) and all payments waived for the first six months. The maximum amount of the loan is $250,000. Apply by September 27th.

The State of Idaho- Governor Brad Little issued a statewide stay-home order and signed an extreme emergency declaration on March 25, 2020. The stay-home order is effective immediately and in place. The Governor and public health officials extended the stay-at-home to May 1st. The official order is available on https://coronavirus.idaho.gov/.

Small Business Administration- the Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering up to $2.0 million in low‑interest loans.
SBA Debt Relief As part of SBA’s debt relief efforts,
- The SBA will automatically pay the principal, interest, and fees of current 7(a), 504, and microloans for a period of six months.
- The SBA will also automatically pay the principal, interest, and fees of new 7(a), 504, and microloans issued prior to September 27, 2020.
Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) to offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Eligible small businesses can receive loans of up to $2 million to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that can’t be paid because of the impact of COVID-19. Paycheck Protection Program-The Paycheck Protection Program provides small businesses with funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll costs including benefits. Funds can also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities.
Small businesses, private nonprofit organizations of any size, small agricultural cooperatives and small aquaculture enterprises that have been financially impacted as a direct result of COVID-19 are eligible to apply.

Main Street America- Nampa is one of four cities in Idaho to be a Main Street America community. Main Street America information provides resources for small business from remote event planning to data gathering and promotions to run during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Small Business Development Centers- Idaho’s Small Business Development Center consultants are available to work with your business, answering questions, providing resources, and advocating for your business to help get through this period. Kevin and Mary Daniels Fund- Businesses located in the historic district of Nampa are eligible to apply for the Kevin and Mary Daniels fund provide 0% interest loans to business and building owners to support highly visible improvements to buildings and storefronts in the Nampa Historic District. Eligible projects include, but are not necessarily limited to: awnings, canopies, storefronts, paint,doors, landscaping, exterior lighting, window repair, masonry work and signage.

Families First Coronavirus Response Act- This bill responds to the coronavirus outbreak by providing paid sick leave and free coronavirus testing, expanding food assistance and unemployment benefits, and requiring employers to provide additional protections for health care workers.
