Crime Stoppers began in Albuquerque, New Mexico in September of 1976. Members of the local community, in partnership with the media and law enforcement, began an effort to provide crime-solving assistance to law enforcement.
A cash reward was offered to anonymous persons who telephone the Crime Stoppers hot line with information leading to the arrest and indictment of persons responsible for felony offenses.
In the year 1999 Nampa Crime Stoppers and Boise Crime Stoppers merged together becoming Boise Area Crime Stoppers.
If you have information on a crime or witnessed a crime, call Crime Stoppers, you may earn a reward up to $1,000 for information solving a major crime.
